Among the posts, Trump said he had made “Hundreds of Billions of Dollars” on stocks and other holdings for the United States rather than for himself. The claim was presented alongside an AI-generated image showing Trump seated at the Resolute Desk with screens displaying stock market information. No evidence was provided in the post to establish the amount or explain how the gains were calculated.
Trump also posted multiple AI-generated images depicting himself in military and heroic roles, including scenes involving Iran and U.S. military power. Other images portrayed Trump alongside historical figures, futuristic technology and popular cultural imagery.
Several of the posts focused on Iran, where the United States and Iran remain locked in an extended military confrontation. Trump shared images and charts portraying Iran as economically and militarily weakened, including claims about its currency and energy infrastructure.

The broader economic pressure on Iran is real, but the specific claims in Trump's social-media posts should not be treated as independently verified economic data. Reuters reported on Sunday that Iran is facing severe economic difficulties, including currency instability, high inflation and disruption to oil exports, while Tehran has acknowledged the need to address domestic economic problems.
The economic consequences are also reaching global markets. Rising tensions around the Strait of Hormuz and disruptions to Iranian oil flows have contributed to higher energy prices, with Brent crude recently approaching $100 a barrel.
Trump's posts extended beyond Iran. Some AI-generated images portrayed the United States as controlling territories and landmarks that are not U.S. possessions, including the Moon and the Strait of Hormuz.
His posts also followed an August executive order directing the U.S. government to rename Lake Ontario as “Lake America.” The order instructs the Interior Department and the U.S. Board on Geographic Names to implement the change in federal records and communications.
The latest activity adds to Trump's growing use of AI-generated material on Truth Social during the Iran conflict. Reuters previously reported that Vice President JD Vance said an earlier AI-generated post depicting the destruction of Iran's Kharg Island was intended as a message to Tehran rather than an announcement of an actual U.S. military operation.
The distinction between digitally generated political imagery and verified events remains significant as the conflict continues. While Iran is facing documented economic and energy pressures, individual claims and visual representations shared by political leaders on social media do not by themselves establish the underlying facts.
